Since I retired two years ago, my attention has been divided among many things that have tugged at my heartstrings for years (which is why my blog posts are few and far between these days), like clean water, reducing plastic, knowledge-transfer sessions on various environmental topics, and writing.
One of my favs is the work I’ve been doing at the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association, and our mission-driven, never-ending quest for swimmable, fishable, drinkable water.

Over Christmas, my brother-in-law, LJ DuToit, who owns Apex Views drone services in Chattanooga, took drone footage of the stretch of the Susquehanna that flows by our office, known as Lake Clark, a 10-mile stretch of man-made lake on the Susquehanna River between York and Lancaster counties. Created in 1931 by the Safe Harbor Dam, the dam impounds the Susquehanna River at Lake Clark, flooding the upper Conejohela Valley to form the lake, thereby maintaining sufficient flow for hydroelectric power.
I wrote a script, asked one of our Board members, Justin Mando, to do the voiceover, gratefully accepted the free music iMovie provided, and voilà—we have a cool little video of our beloved river. Go ahead and take a peek.
If you, too, like swimmable, fishable, drinkable water, consider becoming a member of the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association today. Because these days, the Earth needs a bit of support.
And if you need drone services, LJ will be back in PA this summer.
Thanks for reading.

fishable, and drinkable! It signifies life, not just for us but also for the future of our children and all living beings on this beautiful Earth. Thank you, dear Pam, and the outstanding team, for the wonderful video.
