Hi Pam – Congratulations on your entry … I just read about a start-up at Imperial College who have developed a form of polyethylene plastic that is biodegradeable, as well as recyclable. It breaks down in 226 days – leaving a harmless sludge … it can be used for cling-film (plastic film), salad bags, or thin post bags. It was only ‘a note’ … but I’m sure more will be forthcoming about it.
Plastic is awful and so much worse after a year of Covid … we’ll need all the help we can get to get this planet and its oceans back to health again. All the best – Hilary

That’s amazing. I’ll have to read up on that, Hilary. I think you’re right about plastic being worse because of covid. The other casualty is women in the workplace!☹️
