Happy Mother’s Day, y’all!

If mom’s are only as happy as their unhappiest kid, then I’m doing pretty good right now. So proud of my kids, how they’ve chosen to live their lives, and their expressions of creativity out in the world.

From Morgan. In addition to her day job, she’s an aspiring chef (which is awesome because I love to eat).

From Ian. A man of many internships and opportunities geared toward saving the earth (thank you for your service).

From Arianna. Her end of semester film project (hilarious).

College is hard.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and if you aren’t a mother, don’t forget to call her. She will adore you even more than she does now.

Hope you had a great day. Your kids sound like they have it going on– thanks to their mother, of course. The photo of the cat lounging on the rocks made me smile.

Thanks, Ally. And how about that cat?! I’m thinking it may be a bobcat, but it almost looks too big but that could be the camera angle. Maybe a puma? I would love to know. My son took the photo. And I hope you had a nice Mother’s Day!

      • These are not easy times for any one of us, Pam. I keep pushing forward across the rough terrain one step at a time.

It does feel like crawling up a craggy trail on my hands and knees some days, Rose. The assault on women’s rights is the most heartbreaking and unnerving thing. It’s funny that the same people who say mask mandates are “illegal” are the ones who want to strip women of their reproductive rights. Strange and dangerous times. :0(

I don’t know why only some of my comments have been coming through and not others, but didn’t see this one until today, Rose.

It sounds so harsh to say that but it really is true. The odds do seem stacked against women in general, especially when men start pulling this kind of crap. The marriage of the religious right — and call me crazy, but it’s just not all about protecting the unborn among religious zealots, but about keeping women in their place, no matter what their mouthpieces say — and the GOP has been perfected and flawlessly deployed. They will use whatever dirty trick and tactic they can to stay in power and keep people oppressed. They don’t want to serve the people but line their pockets, a ridiculous but real cliche and I can’t see a way clear of it in the immediate future and the planet 🌍 can’t wait until our children start running 🏃 for office! 😳
